Top Docs healthcare professionals undergo a thorough credentialing process to ensure they meet all requirements for the contract position they seek.
Healthcare Professionals
Required documentation varies based on the assignment. At minimum, you will provide the following:
- Completed health screening
- Current Curriculum Vitae (CV) with an explanation of any gaps between your healthcare education or training program to the present
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
- Valid DEA certificate (if applicable)
- Four (4) professional references from peers who have witnessed your clinical skills within the previous 12 months.
Note: To complete your credentialing process within our expedited timeline of 2–4 weeks, all documentation must be submitted within 2 days.
Healthcare Employers
All healthcare professionals staffed through Top Docs are considered independent contractors. Prior to commencement of work at any client location, each independent contractor completes the credentialing process at the client facility and Top Docs.
All Top Docs healthcare professionals will meet the following requirements:
- Accredited in the discipline for which they will be assigned
- Board certified or board eligible (BC/BE) in a medical specialty (physicians)
- Able to provide proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work in the US
- Speak, understand, read and write the English language
- Immunized for MMR, chickenpox (VZV), PPD test for tuberculosis, and others as required for the specific location
- Hold additional qualifications and guidelines as outlined in the individual contracts
